The Annual Fund
Your support of the Annual Fund of Chesapeake Music helps us bring premier quality performances at affordable prices to our region. These include the Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival every June and multiple concerts throughout the year, The Monty Alexander Jazz Festival every Labor Day weekend, Jazz on the Chesapeake, an additional menu of talented jazz performers throughout the year, as well as our internationally celebrated biennial Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition. The Annual Fund helps to ensure that our YouthReach First Strings Program continues to inspire and excite 3rd and 4th graders in our area schools by introducing them to the violin.
Ticket sales only cover one third of the operating costs of presenting such quality music. Amazingly, our accomplishments over the last 32 years have been achieved with only three part-time staff members, aided by a small army of volunteers and vibrant community enthusiasm.
We believe that presenting music of this quality greatly enriches the life of our community. We need your help to maintain this communal treasure. We’re starting a new year on a high note! Find your level of giving below. Gifts are warmly accepted – especially yours!
